Aww, look at him, he's so cute... *smiles back, takes a bite of his own and then holds out a bite for Wesley* Of course I did. It's your birthday. *smiles fondly*

::Keeps gazing at presents:: He got me presents. Which do not look like books. No one's ever gotten me presents that *weren't* books. Hmmm? Oh... ::Takes bite while glancing at presents again:: You make it sound like this is a normal thing

It is, my love. Birthdays mean presents. *smiles* God, don't tell me he's never gotten presents on his birthday before. Should I put the ice cream in the freezer so we can do presents now? *amused but pleased too* *nudges the four presents closer*

Oh? Does it? I mean, yes, yes of course it does. ::Ducks head blushing:: Except in the Wyndam-Pryce residence it doesn't. Would-- would you mind? ::Keeps staring at presents::

It definitely does. *murmurs* There's that cute blush, only this time it makes me a bit furious at his parents. Ridiculous. Of course I don't mind. *soft smile* *puts ice cream away* Here, open this one first. *hands larger, long box* Eesh, I hope that was the right one. He kept looking at it when we were at the antiques market, but maybe he was making sure it wasn't an evil dagger thing. He got that swoony look on his face though. *crosses fingers mentally*

Uhm, yes. ::Clears throat embarrassed:: Oh good. If you're certain you don't mind. ::slightly gleeful:: Alright. ::Rubs hands:: Wonder what this is. Could be anything. Hmmmm. ::Grins while meticulously removing wrapping paper:: ::Folds wrapping paper:: What did you get me? ::Murmurs while lifting lid of box:: Oh... ::Blinks:: Oh my.. James...

Not at all. *watches with amusement at paper antics* *nervous* Do you like it? You kept picking it up at that antiques bazaar you dragged me to we went to a few weeks ago... I thought maybe... You know how I feel about weapons, but this one... I thought you might...like it. *waits hopefully*

Oh yes, it's-- You went back to the Bazaar? The one I had to practically beg him to come with me to? Goodness. That's so sweet. This is a 15th century Castilztsztzlach dagger. It's very, very rare. ::Excited:: It's the only weapon with which one is able to-- I'm sure you don't really want to know all that. ::Sheepish look:: Thank you very much, my love. ::Eyes other presents:: If this is only the first one, what'll be in the others?

You're welcome. You should tell me all about it sometime. *happy* Adorable. *nudges another present closer* You should open that one. Okay, this one's not as original since he only has about a thousand but it'll be good with the one that comes after. It's, umm, well, hopefully it'll help with the garden.

Hmm. I'm sure he'd be interest in a demon lecture. Not really. Alright. ::Carefully unwraps paper:: Wonder what you else you could've gotten me. ::Grins happily:: Oh? Garden things? No one's ever gotten me garden things. Or, you know, any sort of present that wasn't a book. Well there was the dagger Angel-- stopping that thought right there.

*watches with amusement* He's so careful and intent like a little kid. So cute. Well, it's- it's not so much garden things as a gardening book... But it's all about roses! All different kinds and growing them and there are lots of photos and tips-- and it goes with that other smaller one. *hands that to Wesley too*

A book. It would figure. I am so predicable. But this is the sort of book I've never gotten before. ::Flips through book with interest:: Other small-- Oh. You've gotten me matching gifts of a sort? ::Holds present close to ear curiously before unpacking::

*chuckles quietly when Wes holds it up to his ear* They're roses. Rose seeds, actually. Probably take longer than cuttings but... you'll get to start them from the beginning. They'll grow with our marriage. *murmurs, shy look*

::Stares:: How utterly symbolic and sweet! That's just-- They'll be lovely. ::Kisses forehead:: I'll take extra good care of them. ::Smiles:: You really are a sweet, loving, thoughtful, sexy man. ::Ruffles hair::

*smiles, blushes* *beams at* There's one more. Not as sweet maybe, but, erm I think you might enjoy it once we hang it. *hangs Wesley one more small box. There's a receipt. For something I got at the nice home store... *ahem* For across from our bed. It's kind of...big. But hopefully not too gaudy or trashy looking. I think it'll go with the decor perfectly, but it is rather big. I suppose everyone'll know what we use it for anyway, but I can't wait to see the look on Wesley's face once it's up.
